Byadagi chillies in two types. Dabbi, Kaddi . Dabbi is small and plump. It has a rich color , flavor and taste. It has more seeds and is less spicy when compared with the kaddi variety. This is best suited for masala preparation and oleoresin extraction

Byadagi chillies are used in spicy preparations like sambar, Bisibelebath, , chutneys and other dishes predominantly in South India , especially in Karnataka.
